Buying notes
Insist on the temperature strip. It lets the collector check that the specimen is within range at the moment it is handed over, and it is the cheapest way to prevent a dispute later.
Choose 120 mL over 90 mL if you can. The extra specimen is what a laboratory uses when a confirmation has to be repeated. Ninety milliliters is cheaper and usually enough.
Think carefully before adding adulterant strips. pH, specific gravity and creatinine checks catch dilution and tampering, but adding them is frequently what pushes a cup out of CLIA-waived status and into Forensic Use Only. Read the SKU, never the brand page.

Questions employers ask
How long does urine detect drug use? It varies with frequency of use, body composition and hydration.
